Catharina Tesdorpf Ahlström was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland. Prior to moving to Stockholm, Catharina studied fine and contemporary art in Florence. She holds a Fine Art Teaching Diploma from Konstfack Stockholm as well as a MA in Contemporary Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London.

Besides drawing and painting, Catharina also explored working with glass during her senior year at art school. Something she has worked with since then.

Upon completion of her studies Catharina worked at the MoMA in New York, National Gallery in London, Moderna Museet and Liljvalchs Konsthall in Stockholm coordinating exhibitions and catalogues. Besides doing her own art, teaching art also became an inspiring source where she could learn others doing art. Something she finds very stimulating.

Together with Svenska Dagbladet, Swedens oldest daily newspaper, Catharina creates unique drawing and painting classes in different and beautiful surroundings in Stockholm, such as Orangeriet at Ulriksdals Slott, Museum De Vries at Drottningholm, Konstnärshuset among others. The latest is a digital watercolour course.
